Installer Support
The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) demonstrates quality and reliability of certified products and installers. However, at MSS we work with non-MCS accredited installers to ensure that those standards are still being met and not only are the installs fully MCS compliant but also designed to run as efficiently as possible.
Why should I use MSS?
For installers of Air Source Heat Pumps, new or experienced, one of the biggest hurdles is accreditation from MCS and the cumbersome paperwork and annual audits that go with it.
In order for homeowners to benefit from the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) government grant, installs must comply with MCS standards and be signed off by an MCS accredited company.
As an MCS registered installer, MSS will complete heat loss calculations, design a system, provide the paperwork and once the install is complete check that it meets MCS requirements. You install and we will take care of the rest.

Frequently Asked Questions
As specialists in Air Source Heat Pumps we often receive enquiries about their suitability and application. Please take a look at some of the most frequently asked questions below.
What is your turn around time?
We can provide a very quick turn around to provide our quotation for services and an equipment calculation estimate which then allows you to quote your customer for the full works. Once we have received confirmation that you would like to proceed, the remainder of our process can be turned around very quickly depending on end user availability, and how fast you can return the information that we require for paperwork purposes.
When should we involve MSS?
We must be involved from the very beginning as it is important that you provide your customers with an estimated heat pump size in order to quote as accurately as possible.
Do you install as well?
We are primarily an MCS consultation company that supports other installers, however we can carry out installations as many of our expert engineers have a heat pump installation background.
I’ve done the training but never fitted an ASHP, can you help with technical questions?
Yes, our expert engineers have years of experience installing all types, makes and models of Air Source Heat Pumps so we will endeavour to help where we can.
